Open Records Request
In accordance with the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), the Town of Silverthorne shall make all public records open for inspection by any person at reasonable times, except as otherwise specifically provided by law.
Records shall be made available for public inspection and copying within three business days of a request. If extenuating circumstances exist, this time frame may be extended to seven business days.

Requesting Documents
To request documents, do the following:
- Complete a Record or Document Request form
- Email completed request form via Submit button on form or to townclerk@silverthorne.org.
- If unable to email, it may be dropped off at Silverthorne Town Hall or mailed to Silverthorne Town Clerk, PO Box 1309, Silverthorne, CO 80498
- If emailed, you will receive a confirmation from the Town Clerk of the received request. If you do not receive an emailed confirmation, please call 970-262-7607
Payment
The Town Clerk will evaluate your request and inform you if payment is due prior to research/retrieval, these are requests that will take more than 3 hours to complete. The Town of Silverthorne accepts payments in the form of:
- Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) payments online with no processing fee
- In person at Town Hall, 601 Center Circle, Silverthorne, CO 80498
- Mailed checks made out to the Town of Silverthorne and mailed to Town of Silverthorne, c/o Town Clerk, PO Box 1309, Silverthorne, CO 80498
An estimate of retrieval fees for large record requests (in excess of $50) will be made by staff and payment must be received prior to retrieval.
