Paving Projects
Paving will take place on Brian Ave. and Little Beaver on Thursday, Sept. 12. Detours will be in place while paving occurs. Paving is weather dependent, and the Town appreciates your patience as this work is completed.
Hummingbird Circle Water and Sewer Replacement Project
The Town of Silverthorne is updating water and sewer lines on Hummingbird Circle this summer to prevent leaks and improve water flow and capacity in case of fire. The project will also improve existing drainage issues and include repaving Hummingbird Circle. This project will take place on the east side of Hummingbird Circle from Ptarmigan Trail to 363 Hummingbird Circle and will be completed by October 2024.
Project Details
- The current 4"CIP water main will be upgraded to 8" C900 water main to improve firefighting efficiency and to prevent back siphonage and backflow during firefighting.
- The current 8" VCP sanitary sewer main will be upgraded to 8" SDR 26 PVC sanitary sewer main to promote the health of residents and the environment by reducing the risk of contaminated groundwater and soil.
- Xcel Energy will also upgrade their gas line while the Town is completing this project to lessen future community construction impacts.
- Drainage will be improved throughout the project area.
- Hummingbird Circle will be repaved.
Project Timeline
- Construction will begin Monday, June 24, 2024.
- Contractors may begin preparing for the project the week of June 17, 2024.
- The project is expected to be completed in October 2024.
Project Impacts
- One lane is expected to remain open throughout the project. Occasional full closures of both lanes may occur for short periods.
- Workers will dig then refill the same areas several times in order to complete the necessary stages of the project.
