Setback Improvement Location Certificate (ILC): Email the ILC to the planner assigned to the building permit, at least 24 hours prior to requesting the foundation wall or footings inspection.
NFIP Elevation Certificate: For projects with buildings in the floodplain, in which fill is placed to take the buildings out of the floodplain, the Setback ILC should include the finished floor elevation (FFE). Please email the ILC, with FFE information, to the Town Engineer at least 24 hours prior to requesting the foundation wall or footing inspection.
Height Improvement Location Certificate (ILC): For structures close to the max building height, please email the Height ILC to the planner assigned to the building permit, at least 24 hours prior to requesting the framing inspection.
Final Inspections for CO or CC:
At least 2 business days prior to the preferred date of the final inspection, and by 4:00 pm, please send an email requesting the inspection. Please include building permit number, site address, type of inspection, and phone number of contractor.
The project must be completed per the approved redlined building permit plans, and the site must be clean and move-in ready, free from trash, port-o-let, dumpster and construction materials. If the project is completed in the winter, 150% security must be submitted for any unfinished items, prior to Certificate of Occupancy (see below).

Certificates of Occupancy & Completion:
- Contractor to email or upload a scanned PDF of the field inspection card, supplier verification form, and outside agency final inspection approvals to the Submittals section of the Permitting Portal.
- Community Development Staff will email and upload a digital copy of the Certificate to the Notes section of the Permitting Portal.
Guaranty of Landscaping:
In the months of November through April, prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, the applicant shall provide security for not less than one hundred fifty percent (150%) of the then-current written estimated cost of the landscaping improvements (including materials and labor) approved by the Community Development Department. The written estimate shall be obtained from an independent landscaping contractor, and the security shall be in a form acceptable to the Town.
Prior to Certificate of Occupancy, email to set up an appointment to submit:
1. Completed Escrow or Letter of Credit Worksheet
2. Written cost estimate of incomplete exterior improvements (e.g.: driveway, paint, landscape, and concrete/stonework).
3. 150% security - check or Letter of Credit.
