Intro to Ceramics: Surface Decoration: Bisque Underglaze

• Saturday, December 7th from 10:00 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m.

In this 2.5-hour class, we will explore several techniques for decorating bisque-fired pieces. The techniques include Mishima, underglaze stamping, trailing, image transfer, wax resist design, and various glazing methods. Students should arrive with at least five bisque-fired pieces that are ready for decoration. 

*Ceramics is a multi-step process; pieces will need to be dried and fired in the ceramic kiln and may take up to 2 weeks. You will need to return to the studio once everything is bisque-fired to glaze your pieces and place them on the glazed shelf to be fired again.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the class start time. If a cancellation occurs, those enrolled on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered
