Intro to Ceramics: Tweens & Teens: Hand-Building 2-Part Series

• Sunday, December 1st & 8th from 3:00  to 5:00 p.m.
• $60 for Art Spot members $70 for non-members
• Tweens & Teens ages 10-19

Participants will have fun, get messy, and acquire foundational skills for effectively working with slab, coil, and extruded techniques to achieve projects full of creativity and individual expression. Students will learn to use the slab roller, molds, and extruders. The class will cover surface textures, stamps, underglaze, and glazing. The class fee includes 12.5 lbs. of clay, underglazes, and the firing of the work. For students who are not members, the instructor will apply a glaze to your finished piece for later pickup.

*Ceramics is a multi-step process; pieces will need to be dried and fired in the ceramic kiln and may take up to 2 weeks. You will need to return to the studio once everything is bisque-fired to glaze your pieces and place them on the glazed shelf to be fired again.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the class start time. If a cancellation occurs, those enrolled on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered
