The Town of Silverthorne is honoring and celebrating Dia de los Muertos and the vibrant Latine community living in Summit County at November First Friday. In partnership with local community members, a Dia de los Muertos celebration will be held on Friday, Nov. 7from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This fun and educational event has been created to promote understanding and cultural diversity within our community. Dia de los Muertos is a time when both the living and deceased come together and celebrate life in every form. This is not a somber holiday, but one of revelry and remembrance.
During First Friday, attendees can enjoy face painting, live music and dancing, traditional food and drinks, crafts for kids, and a pinata.
