Intro to Ceramics: 4-Week Altered Forms: Wheel & Hand-Building Combo

Students should understand the potter's wheel and have completed a beginner class. They should feel at ease with centering and basic trimming. This class will integrate wheel-throwing and slab-building techniques to craft unique functional pottery. We will explore throwing, altering forms, and incorporating additive and subtractive methods to produce diverse shapes. Potential projects may encompass oval forms, chip-and-dip sets, slabs with thrown rims, and spouts. 

Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the class start time. If a cancellation occurs, those enrolled on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered.

*Ceramics is a multi step process and pieces will need to be dried and fired in the ceramic kiln and may take up to 2 weeks. You will need to return to the studio once everything is bisque fired to glaze your pieces and place on the glazed shelf to be fired again.
