November First Friday Día de los Muertos Celebration

Dia de los Muertos CelebrationThe Town of Silverthorne is honoring and celebrating Día de los Muertos and the vibrant Latine community living in Summit County at November First Friday. In partnership with local community members, a Día de los Muertos celebration will be held on Friday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Outlets at Silverthorne Blue Village. This fun and educational event has been created to promote understanding and cultural diversity within our community. Día de los Muertos is a time when both the living and deceased come together and celebrate life in every form. This is not a somber holiday, but one of revelry and remembrance.  Event attendees will learn how various countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru, celebrate life and death.

During First Friday, attendees can enjoy face painting, live music and dancing, traditional food and drinks, a photo booth, a piñata and crafts for kids. Food will be available for purchase from Mercado La Perla and Lonchera Titi. Thirsty Pika Taproom will be serving drinks in their main taproom and at a bar in the Outlets' Central Plaza. Bring your First Friday cups for $1 off beer or wine.
