Silverthorne Newsletter Going Electronic!
- Switch from Paper to Pixels begins in October 2009 -
The Silverthorne Signal will shift from a paper newsletter to an electronic only format in October of 2009. This shift will reduce the Town’s production costs and paper usage, and allow us to reach a larger newsletter audience. The current paper copy newsletter is printed and mailed to almost 4,000 mail boxes and the costs associated with this are significant. With a shift in the way many individuals are receiving their news it seems an opportune time to move to an electronic format, and this shift will save approximately $12,000 per year in printing and mailing costs.
The electronic newsletter will be produced 6 times per year, and e-mail notifications will be provided each time a newsletter is published. The e-mail notification will provide a link to the newsletter which will continue to provide the latest information on Silverthorne news and events.
